First developed in 2008 by the former Boston Educational Services and the now iTEP International LLC, the International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP) is an Internet-based assessment tool that provides examinees with the opportunity to take on-demand English language proficiency tests. iTep is used by academic institutions, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations around the world for university admissions and student enrollment, eligibility for scholarship programs, employment and promotion decisions, among others.
